Hi everyone, I recently found out that my mother is living in her vehicle after keeping it a secret from my sisters and I. Unfortunately, I am not in the position to support her financially, therefore I am making this fundraiser account. My mom broke her ankle this summer of 2025 after passing out in her apartment due to an ongoing medical condition. Because of that, she was out of work and was not able to cover all her rent and was then evicted around Christmas 2025. My mother is a massage therapist and has not been able to go back to work full time since she is not able to stand for long periods of time, and probably won’t return full time as she is still struggling to walk and will likely change careers. She is currently working, but very minimal hours, nothing that is able to help her get her own place. Changing careers at any age in your life is not easy, and it’s especially NOT easy when you are in your late 50’s. My mother really is one of the nicest women you will ever meet and always holds a lending hand to people who need it even if it means giving them her last dollar. I want to be able to give back to my mother the same way she gives back to others. If you aren’t in the position to help, I would really appreciate sharing this so that it can hopefully reach those that can help.
My mother has faced a lot of hardship in her life, especially after being abused mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially by her ex-husband, my biological father, for decades while also using my sisters and I as pawns in his sick games. The trauma from it all has really started to unravel these past few years and has been affecting my immediate family. Still till this day, she has never spoken a bad word about her ex-husband despite everything he put her through, that should tell you the type of person she is. Every time she catches a break in life, life knocks her down again and again and all I want to do is give her a chance that life has not given her.
My hope with this fundraiser Page is to get my mother into at the very least a studio apartment for one year. The more money donated, the longer I can keep a place for my mother while she figures out her new career. I also plan on doing this while moving her across the country from California to Florida, so she can also be closer to my sister and I, and her grandchildren. I plan on paying for her moving across the country myself, I just need this help to get her into an apartment. Your donation would mean a lot.
